Welcome
The HINTS network
HINTS is a network of Heads of INTerpreting Services. It is composed of representatives of interpreting services of national and international organisations.
Members meet twice a year on an informal basis to share and discuss interpreting-related issues and examine cooperation possibilities in this field.
They also advise and help each other concerning urgent questions and keep in touch electronically.
Mission Statement
The HINTS network is composed of representatives of interpreting services of national and international organisations whose aim it is to exchange best practices and information at a mainly operational level in areas such as interpreters’ working conditions, the recruitment of free-lance interpreters, technical set-ups for meetings with interpreting and professional development activities for the interpreting community. It also serves as a network to provide mutual assistance in case of operational constraints.
HINTS is an informal network at an operational level committed to find solutions for the highest quality standards of the service provided by interpreters but has no vocation to take strategic decisions committing the organisations or institutions of its members.
